Near Main Station - Bombs discovered during construction works in Saarbrucken
In the vicinity of Saarbrücken Hauptbahnhof, a bomb has been found. It is likely to be a World War II bomb, said a police spokesperson. It was discovered at noon during construction work. Previously, several media reported about it.
The area was initially cordoned off, but the railway line was not affected. The bomb was secured and the cordon was lifted, said the spokesperson. The city of Saarbrücken is now discussing how to proceed.
