Body of missing 18-year-old found
An 18-year-old girl from Pasewalk who has been missing for a day and a half is believed to have been murdered. Police discovered the body during a search for the missing woman in a garden, according to the Neubrandenburg police headquarters. At the moment, a violent crime is to be assumed, but investigations are continuing in all directions.
The investigation and the securing of evidence at the place where the body was found are continuing. The police are appealing for information from witnesses as to where the 18-year-old was last seen or whether any conspicuous people or vehicles were seen in the area of the gazebo.
The young woman was reported missing on Wednesday evening. According to media reports, the woman lived in a nearby residential group for people with disabilities and also had a mental disability herself. Since the disappearance, the police had been searching for the 18-year-old in the surrounding area. Investigators then found the woman's body, apparently with the help of sniffer dogs. The police and the Neubrandenburg public prosecutor's office were initially unable to confirm this information on Friday.
