After a accident caused by a tire blowout on Autobahn 5, a section of the road was temporarily closed. A 52-year-old man was driving near Weiterstadt (Darmstadt-Dieburg district) on Monday evening when his tire blew out and he lost control of the car, according to the police. He collided with two other cars and the barrier. In total, five people were lightly injured and taken to the hospital. Due to the approximately two-hour full closure in the direction of Frankfurt, traffic was rerouted.
