Air traffic - Black ice at Hamburg Airport: plane skids away

Due to black ice, a Eurowings plane skidded after landing at Hamburg Airport on Wednesday evening. No one was injured, a spokeswoman for the airport told the dpa news agency. Airport operations continued as normal afterwards.

The plane from Stuttgart had not left the runway as previously reported, but had already left it and was on its way to park on the tarmac, as a Eurowings spokeswoman explained on Thursday. Due to black ice, the plane had started to slide. All 89 passengers and crew were able to leave the aircraft normally via the stairs and were taken to the terminal by bus.
