A female driver had to consider a bicyclist at an intersection. But there was a collision - with serious consequences for a 60-year-old man.

Unfalle - Bicyclist in Plauen hit by car and severely injured

A bicyclist was hit by a car in Plauen (Vogtlandkreis) and seriously injured. The 54-year-old driver of the car is reported to have turned right at a crossing at Grüne, while the bicyclist, a 60-year-old man, was crossing the same crossing on a bike path in the opposite direction at Grüne.

The driver is said to have failed to consider the bicyclist in this traffic situation, according to the police. The man was taken to the hospital with severe injuries after the accident in the morning. A procedure for negligent bodily harm against the driver was initiated, the police added.

The incident occurred in the Vogtland district of Saxony, specifically in Plauen. The traffic situation at Grüne crossing was the site of another serious accident involving an Auto and a bicyclist. Despite the presence of a bicycle path, the driver failed to notice the cyclist during his right turn. Due to this incident, the police have initiated a procedure for negligent bodily harm against the driver.
