The FC Bayern Munchen aims to strengthen the exchange between its youth department and the professional team. "Our goal is to optimize the collaboration further through an even closer connection. We want to provide our youth players with the best possible conditions to make it into professional football", said Sport Director Max Eberl.

Now, the youth work is to be improved through closer alignment between the training center of the pros on the club premises at Säbener Straße and the FC Bayern Campus in Munich North, where the youth teams and Women teams train.

Almost 40 percent of graduates from the classes of 1999 to 2003 have made it into professional football, writes the club. "We are reaping more and more fruits of our good youth development", said Jochen Sauer, Director of Youth Development and Campus. "I am convinced that we will be even more successful in the future."

Personnel changes for improved exchange with the pros

In this context, there are also personnel changes at FC Bayern. For instance, René Marić, who previously held the position of Team Leader Training Development & Spielidee at the Campus, will now also strengthen the trainer team of the pros. He is to function as a liaison between the licensed player and youth sectors, according to the club.

Walter Gfrerer, who started the new season as Head of Performance at the German record champions, is responsible for the licensed player team, the FC Bayern Women, and the youth at the Campus.
