High damage - Barn and car, seats and small tractor are burning
In the Landkreis Vorpommern-Greifswald, a barn with several vehicles inside nearly burnt down completely. The approximately 25 by 10 meter large barn in Netzeband had already burned out completely when the volunteer firefighters arrived on Thursday evening, the police reported. In the building were a car, a small tractor, and a riding lawnmower parked, but no people or animals were in danger or injured. The cause of the fire was initially unclear. A report for negligent arson had been taken out. The police estimate the damage at around 140,000 Euro.
The fire department in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern received an automatic alert about the fire in the barn. Despite being an automatic police response vehicle, they struggled to reach the location due to heavy traffic in the District Vorpommern-Greifswald. Regrettably, the high damage to the vehicles inside the barn could not be prevented.
