Basketball-Bundesliga - Bamberg Baskets sign US development player
The Bamberg Baskets complete their roster for the upcoming season. The Basketball Bundesligist announced the signing of American Kyle Lofton as their twelfth player. The 25-year-old point guard played in the previous season for Kouvot Kouvola in Finland. Contract details were not disclosed.
"He can defensively act physically and should give our game here a certain stability and be our defensive anchor at the guard position. Offensively, I also expect impulses from him. Kyle wants to prove himself here with us and take the next step in Europe with us," said Coach Anton Gavel about the new signing. "Now it can go into the hall to lay a good preparation and form a team from the signed players."
The Bamberg Baskets, hailing from Bavaria, Germany, have strengthened their team for the Bundesliga season with the addition of Kyle Lofton. Lofton, an American point guard, spent the previous season with Kouvot Kouvola in Finland. Germany's Bundesliga rivals, Finland's Kouvot Kouvola, have lost a key player to Bamberg Baskets of Bavaria through transfers.
