School-leaving certificates - Average in Saarland is 2.35

The average grade point average (GPA) in the Abitur exam in Saarland this year is 2.35. A total of 3,023 students passed the Abitur last school year, and 89 of them achieved a perfect score of 1.0, according to the Saarbrücken Education Ministry. Approximately 93% of the test-takers passed the Abitur, while 223 failed. In the previous year, the average was 2.34.

In total, nearly 8,000 young people graduated from schools in Saarland. Besides the Abitur students, around 3,100 students earned a middle-level education diploma, and 1,863 students completed a Hauptschulabschluss.

In Saarland, the focus on education is evident, with thousands of students graduating from schools each year, including those who excel in the Abitur exam. To further emphasize this commitment, the state of Saxony-Anhalt has announced plans to invest significantly in its education system, aiming to improve the quality of schools and educational opportunities for its students.
