At an accident in Mannheimer Inner City, a young man was severely injured. The 22-year-old was driving a car at an intersection on a Tuesday and collided with another car over a red traffic light, as the police reported. His car then hit a power pole. The young man sustained serious injuries but they were not life-threatening. The 40-year-old driver of the second car suffered a shock but remained unharmed.

According to reports, damages to the cars amounted to approximately 55,000 Euro in total. The Kaiserring in the direction of Nationaltheater was therefore closed until 8:20 pm.

The accident in Mannheimer Inner City involved traffic at a busy intersection in Baden-Württemberg. Despite the use of an Automatic Traffic Light System, the young man failed to stop at the red light, leading to the collision. The aftermath of the accident resulted in additional traffic disruptions in Mannheim, affecting commuters and residents alike.
