German champion Alba Berlin extends contracts of three key players. The team announced that they have extended the deals of national players Theresa Simon and Marie Bertholdt, as well as wing player Tessa Stammberger, by two years. "It was always our goal to sign contracts longer than one year in the women's sector. We have now reached that point", quotes Sport Director Himar Ojeda in the statement. "This is a great sign for the continuity of our program."

Stammberger remains

"Last season, my bond to the club grew even stronger because I was also actively coaching in Alba Youth", said Tessa Stammberger, who has been playing in Berlin since the 2022/23 season. "I like the direction the whole club is taking, and I feel honored to continue being a part of it."

Alba had previously already extended the contract of wing- and point guard Lucy Reuß and strengthened the squad with inside player Emily Kiser. The team of head coach Chris Cabrera is playing in the EuroCup for the first time this year.

The extended contracts cover national players Theresa Simon and Marie Bertholdt, along with Tessa Stammberger, all of whom are part of German Basketball team ALBA Berlin. Stammberger expresses her appreciation for the club's direction and feels privileged to continue playing in Berlin's Alba Berlin. The EuroCup welcomes the team of head coach Chris Cabrera for its first-time participation in the 2022/23 season, with reinforcements like wing- and point guard Lucy Reuß and inside player Emily Kiser.
