weather - After a sunny morning, thunderstorms and showers approach
Strong thunderstorms approach people in Berlin and Brandenburg on Tuesday. The day starts relatively mild and dry, as the German Weather Service announced in its forecast. However, forecasts suggest that from Prignitz, partly strong thunderstorms and showers will move in later, reaching as far as the Oder. In some areas, strong rain, small hail or stormy wind gusts are expected. Temperatures reach 25 to 29 degrees, in Berlin around 28 degrees.
In the night to Wednesday, showers and thunderstorms gradually move towards the east, with minimum temperatures of 17 to 14 degrees. Wednesday begins with clouds and showers along the Oder, but it clears up later and the rain recedes. Temperatures are between 21 and 24 degrees.
After a largely dry night with minimum temperatures of 13 to 9 degrees, Thursday is expected to be warm. In the north, clouds will remain in the sky, but it will remain dry with temperatures of 22 to 26 degrees.
Despite the initially mild and dry conditions in Berlin, as announced by the DWD, powerful thunderstorms from Prignitz are forecasted to intrude later, potentially affecting Berlin and Brandenburg as well. During these storms, residents might encounter heavy rain, small hail, or strong wind gusts. Strikingly, even with these weather conditions, temperatures are expected to range from 25 to 29 degrees in Berlin.
