Ice hockey - Adler Mannheim sign Eric Uba
The Adler Mannheim have signed ice hockey professional Eric Uba. The 23-year-old holds a German pass and is transferring from his Canadian hometown of McGill University to the Kurpfalz, as the club from the German Ice Hockey League announced. Previously, the forward scored 24 goals and 21 assists in 32 league games in the OHL (Junior Hockey League).
"He has an unyielding work ethic, a strong physique, and a dangerous shot. We are looking forward to seeing how he develops," said trainer and sports manager Dallas Eakins. However, the club made no statements regarding the contract length.
The transfer of Eric Uba to Adler Mannheim is significant for Baden-Württemberg's ice hockey scene. With his arrival, the German Ice Hockey League team is strengthening its roster for the future.
