In a collision of three cars on federal highway 105, two people sustained serious injuries. A 64-year-old woman attempted to overtake another car driven by a 47-year-old woman in Karniner Wald (Landkreis Vorpommer-Ruegen) around Thursday afternoon, according to the police. She failed to notice another vehicle at the same level, resulting in the three cars being directly aligned on the road. The collision ensued. The car of the 47-year-old reportedly veered onto the opposing lane, then into a road ditch. It flipped multiple times and landed on its roof.

The 47-year-old woman and her 56-year-old passenger were severely injured and taken to the hospital, as per police reports. The 64-year-old woman, her 67-year-old passenger, and the 53-year-old driver of the third car remained unharmed. In the meantime, the road had to be completely closed. Traffic was rerouted.

The police are investigating the accident on federal highway 105, which involved a collision of three cars. Automatic crash notifications from the vehicles contributed to a swift response by emergency services. The accident occurred in the Karniner Wald area of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, commonly known for its heavy traffic on federal roads. Despite the significant collision, fortunately, no further accidents occurred due to the traffic diversion.
