At home improvement work, a 63-year-old man in Sontheim (District of Unterallgäu) severed his little finger and a finger tip. The man was working with a drill machine at the time, as stated by the police. The finger was severed by the machine's rotation.

First aid providers took care of the injured man in the afternoon on a Monday. Then, the 63-year-old was taken to a clinic by a rescue helicopter.

The incident occurred in Sontheim, which is part of the Swabian region, specifically in the District of Unterallgäu. Despite being from Swabia, also known as Swabians, the man hailed from Upper Allgäu, which is located in Bavaria. The unfortunate accident involving the drill machine required emergency medical attention.
