On the A7, near the community of Ellerau (Segeberg district), there were two incidents. In the night, first, the tire of a 45-year-old's car burst, causing him to lose control of his vehicle, according to the Autobahnpolice. The man was unharmed - however, his vehicle blocked parts of the right driving lane where it came to a stop.
Shortly thereafter, another car collided with the accident vehicle. The 69-year-old driver also remained unharmed. An alcohol test, according to the Autobahnpolice, showed 0.8 Promille.
The A7 was fully closed in the Hamburg direction for approximately one hour due to the incidents.
The Autobahn Police reported another incident in the Schleswig-Holstein region, specifically in the Segeberg District, involving a 69-year-old driver who collided with the first accident vehicle due to tireless focus on the tire problem of the Autobahn. This subsequent accident occurred in the same area where the first incident involving a 45-year-old occurred, blocking yet another part of the right driving lane.
