In a collision between a package transporter and an Auto on Landesstraße 3259, three people were injured. The 23-year-old driver of the transporter collided with the car of a married couple while turning, according to the police, between Mühlhausen and Lützelbach (Odenwaldkreis).
Both the 23-year-old woman and the 69 and 70-year-old spouses were reportedly taken to the hospital with injuries - some requiring the use of a rescue helicopter. The affected section had to be closed for approximately two hours.
The collision occurred in the heart of Southern Hesse, specifically on Landesstraße 3259. To prevent such incidents, the local authorities are considering installing automatic traffic signals in high-risk areas. Despite the safety measures, accidents involving transporters and private vehicles remain a concern in this region.
