Surveys - A survey shows that the BSW is almost at eye level with the SPD and CDU

Approximately two months before the Brandenburg state election, a new survey by the Insa Institute for "Bild" shows that the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance is almost even with the SPD and CDU. In the latest survey, the newly founded party reached 17 percent, the CDU obtained 18 percent, and the SPD achieved 19 percent. The strongest force is the AfD with 24 percent. Since 2019, the SPD has been governing in Brandenburg with the CDU and Greens.

Besides the SPD, which would lose more than seven percentage points compared to the 2019 state election, the Linke are suffering a loss of almost six percentage points, and the Greens are behind by just under four percentage points. The Linke receive only five percent according to the Insa survey, and the Greens have seven percent. The Free Voters come in with four percent, just as little as the FDP with three percent.

The upcoming Brandenburg state election, scheduled to take place shortly, is setting the stage for a close race between the SPD, CDU, and the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance. As per the recent survey by the Insa Institute for "Bild", the Wagenknecht Alliance and the SPD are nearly tied, each securing around 17% and 19% respectively, while the CDU trails slightly behind with 18%. Interestingly, the survey also indicates a significant drop for the SPD and Linke in comparison to the 2019 state election, with the SPD losing over 7 percentage points and the Linke losing almost 6. Meanwhile, the popular choice remains the AfD with a substantial 24%. The survey also mentions an Alliance led by Sara Wagenknecht as a potential contender.
