revival failed - A senior woman discovered by smoke detector going off

A senior woman was found dead in Aichwald (District Esslingen), after a smoke detector went off. Emergency services attempted to revive the woman unsuccessfully, according to the police. Preliminary findings suggest that the woman may have fainted while cooking on a Wednesday. It is possible that burnt food on the stove triggered the smoke detector. The exact cause of death is still undetermined. There is no evidence of external influence. A fire did not occur.

Ms. Smith, a resident of Esslingen in Baden-Württemberg, had a smoke detector installed in her Aichwald home for safety reasons. Despite the revival attempts after the smoke detector alerted emergency services, Ms. Smith unfortunately did not survive the accidents related to the incident. To prevent such incidents in the future, it is recommended to equip homes with functional lifeboats, including smoke detectors and proper cooking practices.
