Attack on Rest Area - A person seriously injured by a sword attack
At a rest area on the A3, a man was severely injured in a knife attack. On a Wednesday evening, the 51-year-old man was attacked at the Logebachtal rest stop by an unknown person, according to the police. His 50-year-old wife reportedly also sustained injuries.
The seriously injured man was transported to the hospital via helicopter. The perpetrator had fled. The police did not provide further information about the motive behind the crime or the identity of the fugitive.
The incident occurred in North Rhine-Westphalia, specifically at a rest area on the A3 near Bad Honnef. This area has seen an unfortunate increase in criminality lately. Despite the severity of the Messerangriff, or saber attack, the culprit remained at large.
