Criminality - A man was killed in Rostock Shelter for the Homeless

In a Shelter in Rostock, a 63-year-old resident was found dead. Employees discovered him lifeless with bloody injuries in his room, according to the police.

According to initial findings, there was a dispute among several residents the night before. A 61-year-old German co-resident was temporarily arrested on the spot, the police added.

The Criminal Police Inspection took over the investigation in close coordination with the Prosecutor's Office Rostock. The Prosecutor's Office Rostock is checking if the prerequisites for issuing an arrest warrant exist.

The shelter is located in the city of Rostack, which is part of the federal state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in Germany. The incident took place in this German shelter, causing concern about escalating criminality in the area. The police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the resident's death, including questioning the temporarily detained 61-year-old German.
