A 70-year-old man tragically fell from a mountain tour in Oberstorf. According to the police, he fell approximately 150 meters down a slope next to the hiking trail. The police reported that he was at the time descending from the Walser Hammerspitze.

Two hikers observed the fall from a distance and alerted the rescue teams. A doctor, who was flown in by helicopter to the mountain climber, confirmed his death. Mountain rescue teams from the Bergwacht and the Alpine Intervention Group of the Police recovered the man's body using a police helicopter. There were no indications of external interference.

The 70-year-old man's unfortunate accident occurred in the scenic region of Bavaria, well-known for its popular leisure activities like mountain tours. Despite the presence of professional mountain rescue teams from the Bergwacht and the Alpine Intervention Group of the police, the man's life couldn't be saved after falling during his descent from the Walser Hammerspitze. After thoroughly investigating the site, the police concluded that the accident was a tragic isolated incident, with no signs of external interference.
