Work accident - A man slides in hot bitumen - severe burns

At a work accident in Malsch (District of Karlsruhe), a 58-year-old man slipped a leg deep into a tonne, in which there was a hot bitumen mixture. According to initial assessments by the rescue services, he suffered burns of second and third degree, as the police reported. A rescue helicopter brought him to a special clinic in Ludwigshafen. The man had, according to current knowledge, cleaned an empty industrial tonne on the industrial estate of the company in Malsch early in the morning. The cause of the accident was still unclear.

The incident occurred in the district of Karlsruhe, specifically in Malsch. The affected individual was working at the company's industrial estate. Following the work accident, an emergency response was necessary due to the burning tonne.
