police operation - A man runs with a knife barefoot along the autobahn
With drawn weapons, German federal police stopped a man with a knife on Autobahn 93 near the Austrian border. A witness had alerted the officers after the man ran barefoot from a hotel to the highway on Tuesday evening, according to the German federal police. The officers, who happened to be in the vicinity, chased after the man and found him at the Kiefersfelden exit (Rosenheim district).
To stop the suspect, the officers drew their pistols. The suspect then stuck the knife, with an approximately nine centimeter long blade, into the road sign. He stood with raised hands. The German federal police arrested the man without resistance.
Since the suspect reportedly "openly had psychological issues," the Rosenheim Traffic Police took care of his appropriate accommodation.
The police operation in Kiefersfelden, located in Bavaria, Germany, was not just about handling traffic-related issues, as it also involved dealing with criminality. The suspect's hostile behavior on Autobahn 93 near Kiefersfelden, bordering Austria, caused concern. Despite attempting to intimidate the police with a knife, the man was armed only with a nine-centimeter blade, which he used to threaten a road sign.
