A man's fall onto the tracks of the Munich S-Bahn led to a police intervention and a shock for the locomotive driver. The man at the helm of the train initially believed he had run over the man on the tracks, according to the Federal Police. The 49-year-old noticed the man on the tracks at Bahnhof Donnersbergerbrücke in the rearview mirror and made an emergency call.

However, surveillance cameras from the platform showed that the 22-year-old alcoholic had fallen onto the tracks behind the S-Bahn. The young man was visibly drunk, according to the police. He was taken to the hospital with a head injury. Initially, according to a police spokesperson, there were no legal consequences expected for the accident. The locomotive driver suffered a shock and could no longer work.

The incident took place on the railway track in Munich, Bavaria. Upper Bavarian police launched a thorough investigation, analyzing the footage from the platform. Traffic on the S-Bahn was temporarily disrupted due to the police operation. The locomotive driver, who had a close call, will need time to recover from the emotional impact. Despite the initial shock, further accidents were successfully averted due to the swift response of the authorities.
