Kiel - A drunken man rams into 11 parked vehicles
A drunk driver rammed several parked cars in Kiel and caused significant damage. The man was reportedly in serpentine lines in the area of Gutenbergstraße/Knooper Weg during the night and damaged eleven vehicles. Neighbors had heard a bang and then noticed an car with its warning lights on and called the police. A trail of debris was left on the street. The man was found near the scene of the crime, as he was trying to get on a bus with two others. The man had to give a blood sample and his personal details were taken.
The local police in Kiel are investigating an incident involving a drunken ride, where a driver crashed into multiple parked cars in Gutenbergstraße/Knooper Weg. Automatic number plate recognition technology was used to identify the involved vehicle, which is registered in Schleswig-Holstein. Despite the damage, no accidents involving other traffic were reported. The drunk driver was charged with driving under the influence and causing property damage.
