A drunk cyclist was on a radweg in Werra-Meißner-Kreis, near Sontra, with numerous beer bottles, lost control and sustained a severe head injury, being taken to the hospital. The 64-year-old man, according to Police, was cycling. The exact accident sequence was initially unclear as police could not question the man due to his injuries.
The radar showed an increase in traffic on the same radweg where the accident occurred. In Hesse, there have been rising concerns about bicycle safety due to several accidents recently.
