Criminality - A 61-year-old is alleged to have murdered his son

A 61-year-old man from Dessau-Roßlau is suspected of killing his 33-year-old son. The man had come to the Dessau-Roßlau police station on Thursday morning and confessed to having killed his son the night before, the police reported.

The officers went to the man's apartment in the Roßlau district - the alleged crime scene - and found the dead son there. The father was temporarily taken into custody. The prosecution and Police are now investigating the 61-year-old.

It is currently assumed that the father and son had argued on Wednesday evening. The 61-year-old is suspected of having killed the 33-year-old - the circumstances of which were initially unclear. A remand judge has ordered pre-trial detention for the man from Kazakhstan today.

The suspected crime took place in the city of Dessau-Roßlau, located in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. The high rate of crime in the region has prompted increased vigilance from local authorities and law enforcement agencies, including the police in Dessau-Roßlau.
