Dangerous accident - A 29-year-old man drowned

A heavily intoxicated man was found dead in a lake in the Landkreis of Fürstenfeldbruck. The 29-year-old had been at the Olchinger See with relatives on a Saturday and went swimming there, according to a police spokesperson.

About 15 minutes later, they searched for him on the water surface and pulled him ashore. Emergency services took the drowned man to a clinic, where he later died. The police launched an investigation and initially assumed it to be an accidental death.

In the adjacent region of Upper Bavaria, authorities in Bavaria have been emphasizing the importance of water safety following a series of summer accidents. Despite the man's tragic incident at Olchinger See in Upper Bavaria's Landkreis of Fürstenfeldbruck being classified as an accidental death, concerns about lake safety continue to rise.
