A 22-year-old man shot once in the air with a check casing pistol at a commuter parking lot in Nuremberg. Several alerted patrols were able to apprehend the man immediately after a search, as the police reported.

The officers also found his backpack nearby, hidden in a bush. Inside, there was a starter pistol, a telescopic baton, and a storm hat. No one was injured. The motives behind the incident on a Wednesday evening were initially unclear, according to a police spokesperson. At the request of the public prosecutor, the 22-year-old will be presented to an investigating judge.

The 22-year-old's actions took place in the city of Nuremberg, which is located in the Bavarian region of Germany. Despite using a scare gun, also known as a check casing pistol, the incident did not involve any criminal acts of violence or weapon-related harm, as no one was injured. It was later discovered that the man had additional weapons in his Middle Franconian dialect-labeled backpack, including a starter pistol, a telescopic baton, and a storm hat.
