One-year contract - A 17-year-old receives a contract with Bayer

Football-Bundesligist Bayer 04 Leverkusen has given Ida Daedelow a professional contract. The 17-year-old midfielder signed a contract until summer 2025, as announced by Bayer.

"It's great to see another player from our own youth system making it to the Bundesliga squad. We want to prepare Ida carefully for the level and intensity in the Bundesliga. She is a player with an incredible amount of determination, who works hard and follows clear goals," said Bayer's sporting director Achim Feifel.

Daedelow joined Leverkusen from SC Blau-Weiß 06 Köln in 2019 and has since gone through the U13-, U15- and U17-teams at Bayer.

Daedelow's signing marks a significant addition to Bayer 04 Leverkusen's 'Works club', contributing to their ongoing pursuit in the Bundesliga. The 'Profit Contract' secured by Daedelow is a testament to her talent, which has been nurtured in North Rhine-Westphalia's youth teams. Her love for soccer, evident in her tireless work ethic, has led her to shine in the U13-, U15-, and U17-teams at Bayer 04 Leverkusen. This German talent is now set to make an impact in the Bundesliga, following in the footsteps of other successful players from the club.
