Feast - 6000 people celebrate Dresden Schloesser Night
Full Moon, warm temperatures and a fireworks display: The Dresden Schloesser Night remains a visitor magnet. The 14th edition of the spectacle was sold out on Saturday evening with 6000 visitors. Since 2009, the event around the three Elbschlosses has attracted music fans, connoisseurs, and dance enthusiasts from all over Germany, as the organizer announced, looking at the ticket sales. A third of the guests came from outside. On six areas, dancing was possible until midnight. At the Urban Live Gallery in the Roman Bath below Albrechtsburg Castle, ten graffiti artists worked in front of the eyes of the guests on their works. The pictures were then auctioned off.
Overall, the visitors of the Schloesser Night were offered eleven hours of music - from more than 300 artists on 18 stages and playgrounds. The park areas of Albrechtsburg Castle, Lingnerschloss, Schloss Eckberg, and the Saloppe were transformed into a large Open Air Festival ground. More than 1000 spotlights and light sources illuminated the scene.
