According to initial findings, a electrical device in a garage in Salzatal ignited and caused the fire, as a police spokesperson reported. The flames then spread to the adjacent warehouse. In the warehouse, according to the spokesperson, there were grains and oil stored. There were no injuries reported.

The fire in the Saalekreis district's warehouse caused significant damage to the stored grains and oil, estimated to be around 30,000 Euro. The brand that owned the warehouse may now face considerable financial losses due to this incident. Efforts are underway to prevent further damage and potential spread of the fire to other neighboring warehouses in Saxony-Anhalt.
