In the summer, three homeless people are brutally attacked in Vienna, two of them die from their injuries. Now a 17-year-old surrenders himself to the police. However, the motive for the crime is still unclear.

A 17-year-old has confessed to killing two homeless people in Vienna. The teenager handed himself in at a police station on Monday in the presence of his lawyer, the authorities confirmed a report in the "Kronen Zeitung" newspaper. There are still no clues as to the motive.

On July 12, a 56-year-old homeless man was discovered stabbed to death on a park bench on the Danube in Vienna-Brigittenau. Ten days later, a 51-year-old woman who was staying overnight in a park was attacked in a similar way and seriously injured - she raised the alarm after the attack despite severe pain and survived. However, she was unable to identify the perpetrator.

In August, a 55-year-old man was found on the street at night with cuts and stab wounds. He succumbed to his serious injuries shortly afterwards. Details are to be released at a press conference later this morning. Shelters for the homeless had responded to the three bloody incidents by offering more places to sleep.
