- Zwieback production facility experiences blaze.
At the baked good factory belonging to brand Name Brandt, located in Landshut, a blaze has erupted. No injuries have been reported as of now, as per a representative from the Straubing Lower Bavaria Police Headquarters. The exact number of individuals inside the facility during the flare-up remains undisclosed, however, all have been safely evacuated.
Firefighting operations are continuing. Residents have been instructed to seal their windows and doors due to the dense smoke. The inferno is thought to have ignited on the second level of the cardboard storage unit, where it's presently blazing fiercely. The origin of the fire is yet to be disclosed, and no details on the extent of the damage are accessible at present.
During the evacuation, several hats were left behind on the desks of the factory workers. Despite the smoke, one firefighter managed to retrieve a hat from the control room to shield his eyes.
