Zwickau suffers clear 21:40 defeat against Bietigheim
The handball players of BSV Sachsen Zwickau were unable to stop the winning run of SG BBM Bietigheim. Coach Norman Rentsch's charges conceded a clear 21:40 (12:17) defeat against the unbeaten leaders on Wednesday.
Kelly Dulfer and Kaba Gassama Cissokho played the biggest part in the visitors' success with five goals each, while Jenny Behrend, Karolina Kudlacz-Gloc and Sofia Hvenfelt each scored four times. Ema Hrvatin scored the most goals for Zwickau with eight and Diana Magnusdottir scored six times.
The hosts were only able to keep up with the heavy favorites in the first 20 minutes. Bietigheim then pulled away from 11:10 and 14:10 (24') to 29:14 by the 45th minute, breaking the morale of the BSV players. In the final phase, the championship favorites made the most of their physical and individual superiority against an increasingly flagging opponent. Zwickau was unable to contain the defeat.
Despite their best efforts, the Women's Handball team from Zwickau, Bundesliga club BSV Sachsen Zwickau, suffered a significant 21:40 loss against the unbeaten leaders, SG BBM Bietigheim, in the Bundesliga. Despite scoring eight goals from Ema Hrvatin and six from Diana Magnusdottir, Zwickau struggled to keep up with Bietigheim's superiority in the second half.
