- Zimmermann urged CDU and SPD to shift their political strategies.

The leader of Saxony's BSW, Sabine Zimmermann, has set the adjustment of CDU and SPD policies as a prerequisite for collaboration. "In case the CDU and SPD wish to collaborate with us, then that implies they must adjust their policies," Zimmermann mentioned to the "Sächsische Zeitung".

She advocates for shifts in the debt brake - "regardless of whether we label it reform or optimal utilization of possibilities". Particularly in education, investments are essential. Zimmermann also proposed federal council measures for tax-exempt retirements under 2,000 euros and the introduction of a wealth tax.

The BSW's main focuses are tranquility, controlling unregulated migration, and education. "We require a powerful voice from Saxony that champions peace talks and opposes weapon supplies. This is what we anticipate from a government with which we collaborate," Zimmermann stated, referencing the Russian hostile takeover of Ukraine and military support for Ukraine, such as from Germany.

The SPD, being a potential collaborator, might need to align their policies with the BSW's focus on adjusting the debt brake and increasing investments in education, as suggested by Sabine Zimmermann. In the context of Saxony's political landscape, the SPD could benefit from rallying behind the BSW's stance on advocating for peaceful resolutions and opposing unregulated migration, as highlighted by Zimmermann.
