Zelenskyy dismisses Air Force commander following F-16 air incident

Ukrainian military authorities revealed on Thursday that a U.S.-made aircraft fighter went down on Monday during efforts to ward off Russian aerial assaults. Regrettably, the pilot lost their life in the incident.

Newly acquired F-16 fighter planes had been distributed to Kyiv by international allies not long ago.

This incident brings about a substantial setback for Ukraine. The Kyiv administration had been depending on an aging fleet of fighter jets, such as the MIG-29 and Su-27 from the former Soviet Union, to counterextensive Russian aerial assaults, and had been urging the West for speedier delivery of advanced F-16 fighter planes.

The international partners had recently supplied these advanced fighter planes to The President of the Council of Kyiv. This unfortunate incident involving the U.S.-made fighter aircraft has highlighted the importance of strengthening Ukraine's air force.
