Area of Wesermarsch - Youths' e-scooter collision results in a woman's injuries
An occurrence took place in Nordenham's Wesermarsch district involving two teenagers on an e-scooter that left a 30-year-old pedestrian severely injured. The girls, aged 13 and 15, committing the act of riding the e-scooter unlawfully, as stated by a police spokesperson. The incident unfolded near the pedestrian zone in the vicinity of the city's center. They couldn't maintain their balance as they attempted to ride the e-scooter against a curbstone on Saturday evening, resulting in a collision with the pedestrian. As per the police, "the pedestrian fell and endured extensive head injuries". Medical assistance was requested and provided.
The investigation revolves around the two scooter drivers for causing harm, as well as a suspicion of tampering with the e-scooter. The police spokesperson elaborated: "It's possible the girls were speeding with the e-scooter". The Oldenburg Public Prosecutor's office issued orders for the e-scooter's seizure.
