The trial of five individuals suspected of committing a series of crimes in the Heide train station square continues at the Meldorf District Court. The defendants, including four juveniles aged 14 to 17 and one adult, are being prosecuted for offenses including serious robbery, serious robbery, and dangerous bodily harm. These details were shared with the German Press Agency by State Prosecutor Peter Mueller-Rakow, but he did not offer any further information due to the age of the defendants.

Court proceedings are scheduled to take place until June, with the arrests being made back in March. The four suspects were all held in pre-trial detention. The group is said to have committed their crimes primarily in the Heide train station square.

For the first time, a 15-year-old was sentenced to probation and a four-week prison sentence on Tuesday for two counts of dangerous bodily harm and other offenses. This decision was made due to the teen's confession and insightfulness. The juvenile court proceedings occurred privately. Upon release from prison, the youth will be monitored and assisted by the youth welfare office for a period of four months.

Heide has faced issues with juvenile crime in the past. The town made headlines when it was reported that several teenage girls, aged approximately 13 to 16, violently attacked and humiliated a 13-year-old girl. It was also claimed that the incident was recorded on a smartphone.
