- Youth coaches in court for child abuse in Dresden
In training camp, in a small garden plot, or during a birthday party - an employee from Pirna is alleged to have abused young girls over several years. The 37-year-old, who is in custody, will have to answer to a criminal chamber of the Dresden Regional Court starting next Wednesday for severe sexual abuse of children. A total of 30 incidents between late 2017 and mid-October 2022 at various locations in Saxony and Thuringia are involved, including three serious cases.
The man's actions remained undiscovered for a long time
The single man, who was in a committed relationship, was also active as a fitness trainer in a sports club, a spokesperson for the regional court said. According to the indictment, he repeatedly harassed and exploited minors at various opportunities, sometimes over extended periods. He is said to have acted within families or social circles, but also in the training camp of children's and youth athletics or in the swimming pool - undetected for years.
The youngest girl was one year old, the oldest under 14. Child pornographic material and films of the incidents were found in his apartment. The criminal chamber has initially scheduled six trial days until the end of August.
The accused was employed in Pirna, which is located in the region of Dresden. Despite committing these heinous acts in various locations such as children's and youth athletics training camp, a sports club, and a swimming pool, his actions went unnoticed in Dresden for several years.
