Young men sentenced after assaults on prostitutes

The Wuppertal district court has sentenced five young people and adolescents to suspended sentences for a series of assaults on prostitutes. This was announced by a spokesperson for the district court on Wednesday.

The Wuppertal district court has sentenced five young people and adolescents to suspended sentences for a series of assaults on prostitutes. This was announced by a spokesperson for the district court on Wednesday.

The defendants, aged between 16 and 21, allegedly assaulted women working as prostitutes in their homes in Wuppertal and Solingen in the summer of 2022 with varying degrees of involvement. They were sentenced to suspended juvenile sentences of between one and two years for aggravated robbery. A sixth defendant received four weeks' long-term imprisonment for aiding and abetting robbery, which he has already served. The verdict is not yet final.
