A 19-year-old individual met an unfortunate end after being hit by a vehicle in Lichtenau. As per police records, this young man was strolling along with a 24-year-old buddy, a few meters away, when an approaching vehicle struck him early Saturday morning. The 19-year-old endured critical injuries and subsequently passed away in the hospital.
The unidentified vehicle's driver swiftly veered onto a nearby field and scampered off without providing assistance to the gravely injured person. Police initiated a thorough search for the hit-and-run perpetrator throughout the night, even deploying a police helicopter. Around 7:00 AM, a 25-year-old individual reached out to the authorities. Investigations are currently underway to establish if he is the fugitive driver. His vehicle was seized, and a blood sample was collected.
The accident resulted in the 19-year-old suffering critical injuries, ultimately leading to his unfortunate demise in the hospital. The hit-and-run driver abandoned the scene without offering aid, leaving behind a trail of unanswered questions.
