At a fire on a farm in Swabia, the farmer has sustained light injuries, several young cows have perished. The agricultural part of the farm is not salvageable, but the house in Scheidegg in the Lindau (Bodensee) district is saved, said a police spokesperson. The exact number of animals that died in the fire was initially unknown. "A few ones," said the policeman. The fire broke out of yet undetermined cause on Saturday afternoon.

Despite the devastation, the historic house in Scheidegg, located in the Lindau county of Bavaria near Lake Constance, remained unscathed. The spokesperson mentioned that although the agricultural sector of the farm suffered severe damage, some cows in Swabia survived the fires.
