- Young adult hurls half-emptied beer mug towards police patrol vehicle
A 18-year-old, allegedly under the influence and in a rage, launched a half-drunk beer mug with force at a police cruiser in Aulendorf. His intoxication and aggressive behavior led to him resisting arrest, resulting in his imprisonment. As per the announcement, he now faces multiple charges beyond his jail expenses. The announcement also mentioned an ongoing investigation into the extent of the car's damage. The door of the cruiser currently sports a significant dent, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The incident occurred when the police were summoned due to disturbances caused by a late-night gathering following Aulendorf Castle Festival. Upon their arrival, a crowd had gathered, and the 18-year-old unexpectedly charged towards the cruiser, where the officers were still seated. After hurling the beer mug, he attempted to escape.
The police officers had to be cautious while handling the glassware of the cruiser due to the significant dent caused by the thrown mug. Despite the damages, the glassware of the police cruiser managed to prevent any shattered glass from injuring the officers.
