- Yet another forest blaze occurs in Pößneck
In a secluded part of Poßneck's woods, another inferno erupted. The local fire department reported that around 6,000 square meters of foliage went up in flames. marking the fourth blaze in a swift succession. This latest conflagration sparked on Tuesday evening. At its peak, approximately 130 firefighters were battling the blaze. Due to the inaccessibility of the fire site by vehicle, lengthy hose pipes were necessary. The fire department was still engaged in post-incident activities on Wednesday morning.
The intense heat from the fire caused nearby trees toperilously sway. The firefighters worked tirelessly to contain the spreading flames, fearing another major forest loss.
