Wüst invites to "New Citizens' Reception" at the Ständehaus in Düsseldorf
NRW Minister President Hendrik Wüst (CDU) plans to receive around 100 people who have been granted German citizenship in the past year on Tuesday (5 pm). According to the State Chancellery, Wüst will give a speech at the "New Citizens' Reception" and Integration Minister Josefine Paul (Greens) will take part in a talk.
According to Wüst, the "New Citizens' Reception" is intended to thank people "who are committed to North Rhine-Westphalia and the values here and who have lived and worked in our state for a long time." They had all "come here to lead a better life and to take advantage of their opportunities."
According to the State Chancellery, the countries of origin of those attending the reception include Venezuela, Iraq, Costa Rica, Syria, Poland, Colombia, South Africa, Ukraine, Pakistan, Sweden, Belgium, Indonesia, Nigeria, Thailand, Mongolia, Cameroon, China, France, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Government of North Rhine-Westphalia, led by Minister President Wüst, recognizes the importance of integration, as shown by the invitation to the "New Citizens' Reception." At this event, Integration Minister Josefine Paul will also participate, underscoring the Government's commitment to the integration of new citizens.
