Wüst attends Germany match in Dortmund

At the first appearance of the German EM team in North Rhine-Westphalia, Minister-President Hendrik Wüst (CDU) will also be present in the stadium. This was confirmed by the State Chancellery in response to an inquiry. "The Minister-President, who is also responsible for sports in the cabinet, will be present at the invitation of the Mayor of the City of Dortmund, Thomas Westphal, at the UEFA Euro 2024 round of 16 match between Germany and Denmark on June 29 at Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund," a spokesperson said.

Interior Minister Herbert Reul (CDU) also wants to be there according to his house, but this is not yet definitive. The background: On that day, the federal party conference of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) is taking place in Essen, for which numerous police officers are expected due to announced protests.

The other cabinet members have not indicated according to a dpa survey that they will be present in the Dortmund stadium in all ministries.
