DFB Cup - Worries about quartet: Ryerson on crutches after cup exit
Borussia Dortmund are worried about four injured players following their DFB Cup exit at VfB Stuttgart. Striker Youssoufa Moukoko had to be substituted in the first half of the 2-0 (0-0) defeat in the round of 16 at the Swabians on Wednesday. The U21 international felt a stitch in his back thigh, reported BVB coach Edin Terzic after the game.
Full-back Marius Wolf, who had twisted his ankle, and midfielder Marcel Sabitzer, who Terzic said had taken a blow to his calf, also had to come off at the break. Shortly before the end of the game, defender Julian Ryerson twisted his knee. The Norwegian later left the stadium on crutches.
Coach Terzic explained that they would have to wait for further examinations on all four players. Dortmund will face RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga on Saturday (18:30/Sky).
