World War II bomb, found on the Friesenheimer Island in Mannheim, has been successfully detonated. The safety perimeter of around 700 meters around the blast site near Kirschgartshausen has been lifted, as the police reported. The wartime relic was discovered during construction work, according to the city.

After the successful detonation, authorities urged residents to remain vigilant, as another World War II emergency bomb could potentially be hidden elsewhere. If an emergency situation arises due to any suspicious objects, citizens should promptly contact local authorities.
